Wind-Damp Bi describes an obstruction of the channels by Wind and Damp together: Wind drives the movement and changeability of the pain, Damp drives the heaviness, swelling, and lingering, weather-sensitive course. In chronic cases this obstruction can generate Heat (a hot, red joint) or, over long periods, deplete the underlying Qi, Blood, and Kidney — so the pattern is read as it presents and re-read as it evolves.
